Jason S. Tickle, Owner & Funeral Director
Jason grew up in Hastings, Nebraska where he graduated from Hastings Public Schools. He went on to attend college in Hastings, eventually moving to Cozad to complete his Mortuary Science Apprenticeship under teacher and mentor, Jerry Tickle.
After completing his undergraduate hours, Jason moved to Kansas City, MO where he worked at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home and attended Mortuary School concurrently. Jason returned to Cozad in 2006, to complete his apprenticeship, and he eventually took over Berryman Funeral Home from his uncle Jerry.
Jason married Meghan Parkinson, of Hastings, on May 26, 2007 at Hastings. The family moved to Ogallala in October of 2013, upon their purchase of Gubser Funeral Home (now Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Ogallala). Jason and Meghan have been blessed with 2 daughters, Samantha & Elizabeth.
Jason is currently a member of the Knights of Columbus, Optimists Club, Rotary Club, and is serving on the St. Luke's School Board and Keith County Area Development Board. He and Meghan are members of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala.
