KEITH ALAN LARSEN, 34 of Julesburg, CO, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026.
Keith was born on January 31, 1992, in Denver, Colorado, to Jeff and Susan (Smith) Larsen. Keith grew up in Julesburg, graduating from Julesburg High School with the class of 2011. Keith spent his childhood working for Larsen Lawn Care with his dad and sister, planting trees, mowing lawns, and hydroseeding. He learned the value of hard work from a young age. As a child, Keith was always acting silly. He was a happy kid and loved goofing around.
Keith loved to hunt and was a member of the trap team, where he excelled as a marksman. Keith enjoyed spending time with friends, jeeping in the river, and swimming at the headgates. He enjoyed the mountains, cherishing the crisp mountain air, the smell of the pine trees, and trail-riding on his 4-wheeler. He always had a special place in his heart for Star Wars and would often play lightsabers with his nephews. Keith savored a good cup of coffee, especially Aunt Karen's.
Keith was a caring, kind, gentle, compassionate person who always wanted to care for others. He was a caregiver at Almar and the nursing home in Ogallala. He currently worked at Nature's in Sedgwick and had a passion for his work. He was a Christian, devoted to worshiping the Lord, and his heart belonged to God. Above all, Keith loved his daughter Bella more than anything.
Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Keith and Rufina Larsen, and Richard and Zelma Smith, and his infant nephews, Dayton and Dutton Neugebauer.
Keith is survived by his parents, Jeff and Susan (Smith) Larsen; his sister, Kristie Neugebauer and her husband William; his nephews, Jameson and Preston Neugebauer; and his aunts, Joyce Macht, Janet Weingardt, Judy Sherwood, Lynn Lilley (Larry), and Karen (Bob) Ault, close cousins, Christopher, Dillion, Devon and Markus; along with many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:30 am at the Sedgwick County Community Center in Julesburg with Pastor Matt Waitley officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in his memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsjulesburg.com.
