Keith Law of Julesburg, Colorado, passed away June 10, 2026, at Sedgwick County Health Center in Julesburg.
Keith was born June 9, 1966, in Julesburg, Colorado, to Harold and Marilyn J. (Lei) Law. He grew up in Sedgwick county and graduated from Julesburg High School with the class of 1984. Keith went on to Morgan Community College, where he studied construction. His carpentry skills were excellent, though he never formally worked in the trade. Keith married Lisa Gage after college and was blessed with two daughters, Amber and Ashley.
Keith worked as a cook at the Julesburg school and loved his job and the kids he saw every day. He was deeply civic-minded, serving on the Julesburg town board for nine years, as well as the fair board, and was a top booster club member. Keith had a passion for cooking and especially baking. He loved watching sports, especially those of his kids, nephews, and grandchildren. He was a golfer, bowler, and gardener. He could often be found working around the yard. He loved to sing karaoke when he got the chance, with his favorite 80s music woven into the playlist. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren and the time he spent with them.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his sister, Linda Kay Law; and his brothers, Dan (Chris) Law and Clifford Law.
Keith is survived by his two daughters, Amber (Matt) Contreras of Julesburg and Ashley (Devon) Daniels of Ogallala; seven grandchildren, Aiden, Brycen, Keegan, Madison,Aubrie, Macie, and Burklie; his siblings, Marian (Les) Yoshimoto of Sedgwick, Colorado, Jennifer Alcala of Ogallala,NE, and Nancy Tyndal of Holyoke, Colorado. Nephews Eric(Lillie) Alcala of Julesburg, and Alex Alcala of Ogallala and numerous other relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sedgwick County Fairgrounds. Interment of cremains will be at Sedgwick Cemetery at a later date. The family invites those attending to wear casual attire, and Cougar gear or the color purple would be even better.
A memorial has been established in Keith's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsjulesburg.com.
