FLORA BETH FREDRICK, 89 of Holyoke, CO, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Common Spirit, St. Anthony's North in Westminster, CO.
Flora Beth was born on October 1, 1936, in Belden, Nebraska, to William G. Bodenstedt and Amanda Lucille (Worthley) Bodenstedt. She grew up in Nebraska and Colorado. She lived on the Cottonwood Ranch in Sedgwick when she was little. Her family moved to Julesburg, where she attended school.
On December 27, 1955, she married the love of her life, Orville Eugene (Bud) Fredrick, in Wray, CO. They moved around a bit, from Julesburg to Denver. They eventually moved to Sedgwick, where they laid down roots and raised their family. In later years, they purchased a farm in Sunol, NE. They found farm life incredibly fulfilling. Their final home was The Carriage House Assisted Living in Holyoke, CO. Bud and Flora celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in December, 2025.
Flora worked at the Corner Drugstore in Julesburg while in High School and later served as the Sedgwick Librarian and for a couple years worked at the Sherwood Drugstore in Sedgwick. Flora was a homemaker; she loved reading poems, watching movies, crafting, and gardening. Her favorite pastime was spending time with Bud, her family, and beloved animals.
Flora Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille Lapp and William Bodenstedt, stepdad Fred Lapp, daughter Michelle Lee Fredrick, in-laws, Mildred (Gilbert) Fredrick, sisters, Norma Bodenstedt, Lora (Mike) Howitt, and Betty (Alvin) Albrecht; sister-in-law, Norma Fredrick (Smith), grandsons, Brandon Mollendor and Adam McCormick; and great-granddaughter, Alivia Whited.
Survivors include her husband, Orville (Bud) Fredrick, her beloved children, Debra (Doug) Mollendor of Ovid, Brenda (Mike) Dilsaver of Julesburg, Daniel (Donita) Fredrick of Colwich, KS, grandchildren, Brent (Kayte) Mollendor, Michael (Stacy) Mollendor, Kurt (Tiffany) Dilsaver, Alicia (Brian) Whited, Nathaniel Fredrick, Melissa Fredrick, Zachary Fredrick, nineteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Sedgwick Community Center in Sedgwick. Come for lunch.
