CORRINE S. HAMMONS, 75 of Ovid, CO, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Denver, CO in a motor vehicle accident.
Corrine was born December 8, 1942 at Cottonwood, Minnesota to Julian and Lucille (Pfarr) Hart. She attended school in Cottonwood.
In 1972 she moved to Pleasant Hope, Missouri before eventually relocating to Longmont, Colorado. In 1990, Corrine moved to Ovid.
Corrine was a kind and loving person. Perhaps the thing that Corrine enjoyed most was dancing. From the waltz to polka, Corrine genuinely loved getting out and dancing. Corrine has completed her journey in this life, and while it is difficult to say goodbye, her family is comforted in knowing that she has embarked on a new dance.
Corrine was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Ernest and Melvin; along with a sister, Josetta Bauer.
Survivors include her son, Darrel (Marcy) Hammons of Sedgwick; 2 daughters, Judy (Robert) Garcia and Betty Hammons all of Ovid; 10 grandchildren, Thomas, Joshua, Amanda, Mathew, Rodney, Dezirae, Michael, Shawntae, Kayla, Evan; many loving great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Corrine's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsjulesburg.com.
A celebration of life, hosted by Corrine's family, will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Harvest Baptist Church in Ovid.
