Albert Calvin Dickerson, 76, of Julesburg, passed away on November 19, 2023, at his home in Julesburg.

Albert was born on October 25, 1947, at the Philadelphia Navy Hospital, Pennsylvania, to Cyril Calvin and Helen (Byrnes) Dickerson as the oldest of their twelve children.

Albert grew up in Westmont, New Jersey. He received his education in Pennsylvania before entering the US Navy in August of 1966, where he served in Vietnam as an Electronics Technician on an ammunition carrier.

Following his discharge in August of 1968, Albert returned to the States and married Betty Griffith on January 31, 1969, in Collingswood, New Jersey. Their union was blessed with one son, Bryan.

Albert worked in electronics throughout his career. The family lived in Deptford and Collingswood, NJ, before moving to Berthoud, CO, in 1979 and Hawaii in 2002 before settling in Julesburg, CO, in 2010. Albert was employed as a Calibration Technician at ASC in Ogallala for several years after moving to Julesburg.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Charles, Billy, and Daniel Dickerson.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Dickerson of Julesburg; son, Bryan Dickerson of Julesburg; grandchildren, Kasie (Nucoma) Vermillion, and Isabelle Dickerson; great-grandson Dakota James Vermillion; siblings Thomas, Regina, Eileen, Jimmy, Patrick, Donna, Nancy, and Michael; and many other relatives and friends.
