Aaron Douglas Fryar of Port Alsworth, Alaska, was taken from us in an airplane accident near his home on May 17, 2024.
Born April 16, 1979 to John and Sandy Fryar of Julesburg, Colorado, Aaron lived a life marked by adventure, skill, and heart. He is survived by his loving parents, his maternal grandmother(Lois Hagemann), two sisters, one brother, four children, and three grandchildren.
Aaron's journey was not without hardship. He faced personal trials that tested him deeply, but through faith, perseverance, and a relentless spirit, he overcame them—and became a man admired for his strength, character, and kindness.
Over the years, he became an accomplished butcher, welder, carpenter, gold miner, and pilot. Nothing was ever too big to try. His hands built, created, and carried dreams, and his life was a testament to growth, grit, and grace.
Aaron was a beloved member of Lake Clark Bible Church in Port Alsworth, Alaska, where he will be remembered with smiles, stories, and enduring love. Among these people of Port Alsworth, he found his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—and the place his heart called home.
He was laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg, Colorado.
