MARIAN G. MILLER, 90 of Julesburg, CO, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, at UCHealth in Greeley.
Marian was born on October 23, 1929, in Illinois. Marian would eventually come to live in Julesburg, Colorado, where she came to live with Roy and Grayce Novinger. Marian graduated from Julesburg High School with the class of 1948.
On August 30, 1953, Marian married Donn "Jack" Miller. The couple made their home in Julesburg, where they eventually partnered with Bud Rook to build the Melody Lanes Bowling Alley. Marian could often be found at working at the bowling alley on any given day, working diligently to keep it clean. In the mid-1970s, the couple sold the business and partnered in the Lowery Miller Oil Company. Marian had also worked off and on at the drug store.
Marian loved flowers and kept a beautiful flower garden when her health would allow. She was like Jack's right arm when it came to their endeavors; the two were a remarkable pair.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband Donn "Jack" Miller; and her parents.
A memorial service will be held on August 18, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home chapel in Julesburg. Interment of cremains will be in the Julesburg Hillside Cemetery.
