Luticia "Tish" Johnson

November 6, 1959 - March 15, 2022

LUTICIA "Tish" JOHNSON, 62, of Julesburg, CO, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. Luticia was born on November 6, 1959, to Lyle Baughman and Marilyn Miller in Cheyenne, WY. Luticia attended Windover High School in Utah. Luticia spent time waitressing as well as working on geological survey crews. Life eventually brought her to Scottsbluff, where she would meet Deryl Johnson while attending recovery meetings. Their friendship would blossom into a deep and lasting relationship, and on August 19, 2000, the two were married in Julesburg, CO. By their union, Luticia experienced love and family in a new way. She enjoyed a very fruitful friendship with her mother-in-law that was both a steadying supportive hand and aid to her faith. She also nurtured meaningful relationships with her nieces and nephews. Luticia was a unique mix of loving and caring, crossed with sassy and spunky. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake as well. Luticia had a generous heart and met people with great kindness in their need, even if she didn't have it to give. She celebrated and shared over 30 years of sobriety along with her husband, which was one of the great fruits of their union. She was preceded in death by her parents and two half-siblings; and her mother and father-in-law Bob and Lorene Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Deryl Johnson of Julesburg; sister, Laurene Anderson; sisters-in-law, Jolene (Brad) Green, Suzy (Jeff) Schott; brother-in-law Dave Johnson and many nieces and nephews, family, and friends. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsjulesburg.com. Inurnment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg. A private family service will be held at a later date. Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Julesburg is assisting the Johnson family.
