Your Painter "Gene" Eugene Raymond Larmay, 76 of Julesburg, CO, passed away on May 21, 2018 at his home. Gene was born on February 26, 1942 in Oconto, Wisconsin to Charles Frank Larmay and Marjorie Hurley Larmay. He was the youngest of nine.
He left home at a very young age and later joined the Army during the Viet Nam era. After Viet Nam, he settled in Washington State for a short time. He began his travels all the over the United States and Alaska. Gene eventually settled down in Julesburg, CO where he married Linda Guy (Stansberry-Guy) and started his painting business "Your Painter Etc." which he ran for 23 years. He came to love the community he provided services for and values every client. Linda was the love of his life.
Linda's family became his family. Ne never referred to them as step-family. He helped raise the children grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great grand children and great nieces and nephews.
Gene is survived by his wife Linda, Micah Guy and children, Codie Guy (Matt and Markus), AJ Peterson and family, Amanda Mathies and children, all from Julesburg, CO. Doug Towns (Pam) of Cheyenne, WY, Kathy Bauer and family of Evans, CO. Gene has a special bond with all the family. Brother-in-law David (Kim) Stansberry and his children and grandchildren.
He will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at Platte Valley Inn Restaurant (15225 Hwy 385 and I76 in Julesburg, CO) July 21st from 1pm to 4pm with lunch provided.
