May 16, 1988 — February 2, 2021

Fred Douglas Dixon III, 32 of Orange County, CA, passed away February 2, 2021, in his sleep at his home.

Fred was born May 16, 1988, in Fountain Valley, CA, to Fred D. Dixon Jr. and Claudia I. (McLucas) Dixon.  He attended Sterling High School before studying at Chadron State College, and later, Northeast Junior College where he studied political science and music engineering.

On October 18, 2018, Fred married the love of his life, Amanda R. Gomez in Brighton, Colorado. The two eventually made their home in Sedgwick, where Fred worked in mental health services for his community.

Fred was always the class clown and lived life with a light-heartedness that made him fun to be around. Both fun and amiable, Fred was often affectionately referred to as 'King Fred' by most and “Uncle” by the kids that he interacted with. He also loved basketball and making music in his free time.

Fred loved to remind his family and friends of how he was always better at basketball than them.  In his younger adult life he loved to spend time in the gym and parks playing pick up games.  When he could get into the music studio, he loved creating the chorus and putting the music tracks together.

He loved to spend time with his wife going to the beach, fishing and taking their beloved puppy for a walk during the spring and summer.

He was always a Cali kid at heart and would always reminisce of his childhood. After relocating to Colorado he made numerous friends and family that will remember him always.

In the summertime, he would spend his time at the lake camping and boating. Memorial weekend was one of his favorite past times. It became a family tradition to spend the weekend at the lake where everyone would stay up late around the fire telling stories and cracking jokes.

Fred always knew that life was what you made it and was sure to enjoy every moment to the fullest.

Fred was preceded in death by his father, Fred Douglas Dixon Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda of Thornton; mother, Claudia Dixon of Aurora; along with 4 siblings, 7 nieces and nephews, 4 great nieces and nephews along with many other beloved family and close friends.
